Now in the age of globalization, we need to get an equivalency
certificate from different countries where do we want to go to study or for
work. In this way, we can save our time and can recognize our education /qualification which we got in our home country or abroad anywhere in the world.
There are some institutes, i.e. World Education Services (WES) which provide the services of Educational Credential
Assessment (ECA) for immigration or work or study with a fee. WES provides 4 years
bachelor equivalency certificate if you are a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
For ECA through WES there is a procedure (which is very
simple) to get register (make an account) at https://www.wes.org/#get-started with WES https://applications.wes.org/degree-equivalency-tool/, provide all required
information e.g. Name, qualification against which you need ECA, institute
name, registration number, graduation date, etc. there is a fee as well of CAD 220.00
& CAD 7.00 for standard postal charges, so total CAD 227.00 WES will provide a
reference number.
Reference number provided by WES along with an application
which we filled & sent to WES to be sent to ACCA Global UK through email at
members@accaglobal.com to instruct
to send your documents (membership & subject-wise mark sheet) to WES at the address provided on the application.
What documents do you require, all information available
here https://www.wes.org/ca/required-documents/.
ACCA will require a week or more to send to WES & WES
requires 6 weeks (working days only) to verify & evaluate the submitted
documents. WES always keeps you updated about the progress of the documents
after it received.
Once the evaluation is done, you will receive an email from WES
with a soft copy of the evaluation & confirmation that one ECA have been
sent you through post & another copy to the Canadian immigration department
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp.
This ECA is valid for 5 years.
Please be noted, you do not require sending any copy or original document to either ACCA or WES.
